Had our generation 1 Prius battery rebuilt. Not many of the companies in this line of work seem to work on Gen 1's anymore. Also had the transmission fluid changed while we were at it (they do more than batteries!). We had a small glitch where the ECU was throwing out error codes afterwards, so Simon picked the car up from our house, identified and fixed the problem (an ancillary cable/connector that had deteriorated). Of course, this issue was fixed for free, plus, Simon threw in a free alignment (car was pulling to the right a little) to make up for the inconvenience. Overall, I was very happy with the experience. I communicated via voice, email, and texts, and in each case, he was very responsive. He was very patient answering all questions. If your Prius is in good shape mechanically, do yourself a favor and get the traction battery rebuilt/replaced. Battery tech gets better every year, and this keeps your car on the road longer, which is a form of recycling, and overall, keeps more money in your pocket in the long run.

I have recommended this location to a few friends that drive imported autos. The people make it special. Always have fantastic service and they follow up to make sure. That is what you want. I scheduled an appointment for this inspection with Torque. I arrived a bit early and they began the inspection upon my arrival. They found one minor light discrepancy, resolved the problem, and had the car back to me with minimal delay. I could not be happier with the service I receive at torque. I needed someone to check out the hybrid battery on my 2004 Prius since it's 13 years old and has been acting weird. Simon responded to my web inquiry within hours and explained that they test Prius batteries FOR FREE and it would take about a half hour. They got me scheduled at a time that worked for me and I drove the 30 minutes from Durham to their location. The waiting room is clean and they have free wifi, which let me work while I waited. Simon went over the printout of the battery test, explained what it all meant, and said it looked good. He also explained the different repair/replacement options for whenever the battery does start to go. He did point out that the auxiliary battery might be dying and the performance issues I've been experiencing could be due to a needed tune-up. He gave me the prices of those two services and let me leave without any pressure to do any work that day...or ever. I'm scheduled to go back for the tune-up next week. Meanwhile, the 2 other shops I contacted via web still haven't responded...

Steve did a great job replacing the tire sensor on my Prius! I was very impressed with his professionalism and the great customer service he provided. I even extremely happy with the price - it was alot less then the Toyota dealership! Will definitely use Torque Auto again for all of my car needs.

Torque is the best. I recently bought a used 2010 Audi A3 and it was hesitating off the line.I'm pretty savvy with cars so I decided to self-diagnose my issue along with help from Master mechanic Google.lol So in all the car forums they have stated that this hesitation was normal operation for the A3's and I was ready to accept defeat but my wife convinced me to take to a professional. When I bought it to Torque. I just asked for a pre purchase inspection but they went the extra mile and found loose flux capacitor on the hyper link and fixed the hesitation.Just joking about the fix but these guys spot on to rectify the issue.
